Pricing FAQ
Everything you need to know about Drifts, commissions, and ride costs.
Is Drifttly really free to use?expand_more
Yes, 100%! Every verified Bennett University student receives 75 Free Welcome Drifts immediately upon creating an account with their @bennett.edu.in email. Because creating a ride or joining one costs just 1 Drift, you can take up to 75 shared rides without ever spending a single rupee on platform fees.
Does Drifttly take a commission on our taxi fare?expand_more
No. Drifttly charges exactly ₹0 platform commission (0% cut). 100% of the cab fare is paid directly between the co-passengers and the taxi driver via UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm). We do not hold your cab money or levy service fees on the trip.
What is a Drift and why is it needed?expand_more
A Drift is a platform anti-spam token. It costs 1 Drift to publish a ride and 1 Drift to reveal a co-passenger’s verified WhatsApp contact. Drifts exist to protect student privacy and ensure web bots, commercial taxi agencies, and strangers cannot scrape student phone numbers or flood the board with fake rides. It keeps the Bennett network verified, safe, and authentic.
What happens if my ride expires or is cancelled?expand_more
Drifttly includes an automated refund guarantee. If no co-passenger joins your published ride before its scheduled departure time, or if the ride creator cancels the trip, your 1 Drift is automatically refunded back to your account wallet balance immediately.
Do Drifts expire at the end of the semester?expand_more
No. Your Welcome Drifts and any purchased refill packs never expire. They remain in your Drifttly wallet throughout your entire degree at Bennett University.
How do I buy more Drifts if I run out?expand_more
Once you have used your initial 75 free Drifts, you can top up your balance in seconds through your in-app Wallet using secure UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM) or credit/debit cards powered by Cashfree Payments. Refill packs start at just ₹29 for 10 Drifts (₹2.90 per ride).
